Welcome to this week’s blog where we continue our Summer Spotlight Series with part 2 of the interview with artist and quilter Susan Palmer.
Susan just launched with a company in Montreal, Le Galeriste®, that accepted and approved her designs for sale in their Print-On-Demand store. Bravo, Susan!
Here are some key highlights she shared in this final segment of her interview:
#1 – Opportunities can come from anywhere at any time.
Thanks to the online world, we get to put ourselves out there and have the unexpected take place. For Susan, this shows up with her coincidentally seeing an ad that led to her partnership with a company all the way in Montreal! That’s incredible. It shows us exactly why we need to be ready and willing to put our artwork out into the world!
Susan also uses her YouTube channel to showcase her collections creatively and easily to companies she hopes to work with. She sends them the link to the video. It couldn’t be easier, right?
#2 – Share behind-the-scenes and personable content on social media.
Susan has lots of Instagram posts that show her workflow from sketch to pattern to products, as well as pictures of her family, which lets her audience feel like they’re part of the process and keeps them interested.
