Summertime Mini-Courses!
Welcome to August 2023!
August can sometimes be a bit of a snooze but not this year! My goodness, there are so many creative mini-courses to explore this month. Each one is unique and brought to you by the best online teachers from my extensive creative family.
Don’t get overwhelmed, though. Explore what each of these mini-courses is about and decide which one is right for you based on what you want to learn next.
Bärbel Dressler’s The 3 Keys to Mastering Surface Pattern Design
Bärbel is an accomplished surface pattern designer who creates the most spectacular designs. She’s also a dedicated online educator who happens to be based in Sweden. I love her work! It’s truly some of the most beautiful repeating pattern work out there today.
In her mini-course, she draws the curtain back on foundational pattern techniques and the masterful way that she creates her own historically-inspired designs. She loves the history of pattern design and has an encyclopedic knowledge to share.
Her free mini-course starts on Wednesday, August 9. The sessions are recorded and will be sent to you via email. Make sure you check that pesky spam or promotions folder! Bärbel wraps the mini-course up with a special live Q&A which you don’t want to miss. Click HERE to sign up for The 3 Keys to Mastering Surface Pattern Design free mini-course.
From Paint to Pattern with Sarah Watts
Interested to learn Photoshop? Sarah Watts is a fabulous surface pattern designer with a very distinctive style. She is passionate about using Photoshop (instead of Illustrator) because she likes creating original illustrations and surface pattern repeats inside the program itself. She is quirky, funny and the best instructor online to break down Photoshop for you, one baby step at a time.
Her free workshop, which also starts on Wednesday, August 9, is a great way to dip your toes into the Photoshop waters before committing to her full program. This is a LIVE workshop and replays will be available for a limited time. Click HERE to sign up for Sarah’s LIVE Workshop.
Artist Side Hustle with Stacie Bloomfield
Stacie Bloomfield started out after college as a barista at her local Starbucks. Fast forward to today and she runs a multi-seven figure creative business! She is the definition of a high-energy, scrappy, “yes I can” entrepreneur.
Her free mini-course starts on Tuesday, August 15 and it’s the best way for you to learn Stacie’s very practical approach and the 13 different ways she leverages each piece of art to grow her creative business. The sessions are recorded and will be sent to you via email. Click HERE to sign up for the Artist Side Hustle.
Remember, don’t let the fact that three fantastic - and totally FREE - creative programs are available in August. Explore them carefully and decide which one will serve YOU best right now.

MEET ANNE
Hi…I’m Anne!
My creative inspiration comes from a lifetime of observation. I grew up in Paris on the Place St. Sulpice and walked to school through the Luxembourg gardens. And that was only the beginning… Learn more by watching the video on my About page.
