The Power of Masterminds
Welcome to this week’s blog.
Guess where I've just returned from? A two day, in-person, mastermind meeting with an A-MAZ-ING group of creative entrepreneurs.
Masterminds provide fresh insights, renewed energy, and a plethora of ah-ha moments that I can apply in my own creative business. It's the kind of experience that leaves you buzzing with ideas and itching to share.
What's a Mastermind, Anyway?
Masterminds are essentially brainpower-packed gatherings where like-minded folks unite to brainstorm, support, and elevate each other's professional and personal journeys. Think of them as your intellectual dream team, ready to tackle challenges, share experiences, and push each other toward new heights.
Ever heard the saying, "You're the average of the five people you spend the most time with"? Well, that’s masterminds in a nutshell. They offer a space to elevate your thinking by surrounding you with people who push boundaries, and who genuinely want to see you succeed.
The Benefits are Incalculable:
Shared Wisdom: Imagine having access to a collective pool of experiences, knowledge, and resources. Mastermind meetings frequently include “hot seats” where we break into small groups and each person has 12 minutes to ask a question and get feedback and ideas from the group.
Accountability: Let's be honest, we've all got goals that are sometimes harder to achieve than we thought. In a mastermind, there's no hiding and it’s a safe space to share what’s working or where you need help. The group provides a safe haven and gives a gentle nudge in the right direction where needed.
Power Networking: These aren't your typical networking events where you hand out business cards and hope for the best. You're creating deep, meaningful connections with every member. In my Launch Club Mastermind with Jeff Walker, we meet three times a year which means you really get to understand other people’s businesses in depth so that you can provide targeted, appropriate input.
Should You Join One?
Masterminds are not cheap. I’m in three of them and am investing between $5 and $25k to participate in each of them. If you're hungry for growth, crave genuine connections, and love brainstorming sessions and having access to the most current information on “what’s working now”, then you should absolutely consider joining one. The key is to find one that’s tailored to your specific goals. As I mentioned, I’m in three.
One is specific to launching - The Launch Club Mastermind with Jeff Walker
Another is specific to memberships - The Membership Mastermind with Stu McLaren, and
The third is where I’m learning how to host a virtual event - LEAP with Sage Events Management
To learn more about how masterminds work, join me live this Wednesday and let’s talk about it. I'd love to hear your thoughts, answer any queries, and share a few of the gems I learned last week. I’m also considering starting my own group and would love to know if you’re interested!
P.S. For those of you in my Anne’s Atelier membership program, you’re going to meet two of my mastermind colleagues:
Amy Small, owner and founder of Knit Collage, and
Ellen Johnson, owner and founder of The Stitchers Club
They are the “Spotlight Interviews” for November and December. I can’t wait for you to meet Amy and Ellen and learn all about their creative businesses.
xo,
Anne

MEET ANNE
Hi…I’m Anne!
My creative inspiration comes from a lifetime of observation. I grew up in Paris on the Place St. Sulpice and walked to school through the Luxembourg gardens. And that was only the beginning… Learn more by watching the video on my About page.
