A Love Letter to Bonnie and her team 💛
Every year in February, I watch in absolute awe as Bonnie Christine and her team lead thousands of creative women through a free workshop and then invite those who want to dive deeper to enroll in her 8-week program: Surface Design Immersion.
It’s a massive undertaking—with weeks of planning, recording video lessons, live teaching, answering questions, creating an engaging learning experience with fun prizes, and ultimately guiding people into a transformational journey inside her course.
And she does it all with grace, intention, and heart.
But beyond her incredible teaching and business acumen, there’s something even more powerful that I’ve come to admire about Bonnie: her ability to be the visionary in her business.
Let’s talk about this for a minute. Bonnie has a clear vision for her business which is to support you in creating the beauty you want to see in the world through your unique surface pattern design work. This vision comes to life not just in how she curates her free workshop each year, or in the Surface Design Immersion course itself, but in how everything she produces and everyone on her team aligns with that vision.
Take what she calls the Love Squad for example: twenty former students who support the Surface Design Immersion program during the 8-week course so that you have access to their expertise and their examples of success to inspire and motivate you each step along the way. Even the name, Love Squad, reflects Bonnie’s vision for her business and for how she wants to support YOU.
The Power of Vision and Trust
Running an online business isn’t easy. I know this firsthand. Bonnie’s attention to detail and how she brings beauty to every element of what you experience with her is truly amazing. I did an unboxing video yesterday, which you can watch HERE, to show you the incredible 400+ page workbook you get when you enroll in Surface Design Immersion. And that’s not all. There’s an entire box of goodies including a notebook, a highlighter, a bookmark, sticky notes to mark key lessons, mindset cards she calls “weeds and seeds” for reflection when you get stuck, and more!
It’s not just sent to you in a random plain box! Both the workbook and the box of goodies come in a gorgeous, sturdy organizer, where they fit snugly together. The box has one of Bonnie’s beautiful patterns printed on it along with a welcome message from her. Every detail is curated for you to enhance your experience and show you what’s possible.
For the past six or seven years, I’ve been doing almost everything in my business myself—wearing all the hats, making all the decisions, managing every detail. And while I’ve built something I’m deeply proud of, I’ve also realized something: I’ve been playing small.
Bonnie has shown me a different way.
She doesn’t do it all alone.
She surrounds herself with a team of talented, dedicated people who help bring her vision to life. She leads with clarity and confidence, knowing exactly where she’s headed and trusting others to help her get there.
And as I’ve watched her this year, something shifted in me.
Learning to Work Differently
Bonnie’s launch isn’t just a masterclass in marketing—it’s a masterclass in leadership.
She reminds me that I don’t have to carry everything on my own. That growing a creative business doesn’t mean working myself to exhaustion. That to reach the next level, I need to embrace something new: trusting others, delegating, and stepping into my own role as a visionary.
So, this year, I’m making a commitment: to work differently.
To let go of doing everything myself.
To focus on the parts of my business that truly light me up.
To bring in the right support so I can create, teach, and lead in the way I know I’m meant to.

Not just for my own personal transformation when I took your Surface Design Immersion course, not just for the A-MAZ-ING value I received from your free workshop this year, but for showing me what’s possible—for showing all of us what’s possible.
For proving that a business can be built with heart, integrity, and generosity. For reminding me that growth doesn’t mean working harder—it means working smarter and trusting in a bigger vision.
I hope that, wherever you are today, you take a moment to reflect on the impact you’re making in this world. Because I see it. And I know thousands of others do too.
