Giving Thanks.
I think it's very important, especially in a year like 2020 has been, that we actually reflect on what we have in our lives that we can be grateful for.
We are approaching the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. No doubt it will be different this year like so many things. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't a lot for us to reflect back on and to be grateful for.
Here are my big three.
Number one: My Family
I'm incredibly grateful for my nuclear family. My husband and my son and I are all working from home. We’re being careful and staying safe and healthy. It’s been wonderful to be able to reconnect with our son who's out of college now and is working on his portfolio and hoping that the job prospects for him in architecture improve in 2021. In the meantime, the past 6 months have been an incredible opportunity for us to reconnect with one another as a little nuclear family.
I'm also grateful for my extended family: my siblings, my Dad, and all of my extended family that is spread across the U.S. Everyone is taking care of themselves and remaining safe during these challenging times.
Number two: My Personal Health and Work
Staying close to home and focusing on my beautiful creative business has kept me sane this year. I’m grateful for my health – although I need to get more exercise! LOL. I’m blessed to wake up each morning, jump out of bed and get started on supporting you in any way that I can.
Sometimes I’m preparing for a Facebook live Q&A session with you. Or I’m creating new content for future programs. No matter what it is, I love it because I’m the boss and no one can take this business away from me. After experiencing the shock of getting laid off myself, I know how that feels. My goal is to help you find your passion and turn it into a business of your own.
Number three: YOU!
The most important thing that I'm incredibly grateful for is YOU. If you’re watching this video, you’re a part of my creative community. I’m blessed that you watch my videos. You open my emails. You even hit “reply” from time to time to let me know what's going on with you.
Thank you for joining my free and paid programs this year. I'm grateful to each and every one of you. I love to teach surface pattern design and watch your skills improve. The patterns that you're making are becoming more complex and more beautiful. You inspire me every day.
I'm grateful to be your teacher. I'm grateful to be your coach. I'm grateful for each and every one of you because you inspire me to keep doing what I'm doing. And I couldn't be more thankful.
Take the time, as we approach both Thanksgiving here in the United States and the holiday season around the globe to stay positive and think about what you have to be grateful for. Stay safe. Stay healthy and I’ll see you next week.

MEET ANNE
Hi…I’m Anne!
My creative inspiration comes from a lifetime of observation. I grew up in Paris on the Place St. Sulpice and walked to school through the Luxembourg gardens. And that was only the beginning… Learn more by watching the video on my About page.
