Quick Tips – Final Supplies
Before you head out the door to drive over to the Craft Fair with all of your products, don’t forget these additional key items! We’re wrapping up this Craft Fair series today and there are several key items you’ll definitely want to bring along with you.
#1 – An easy payment system.
You’ll want to set up an easy way for customers to pay you. You can do this either on your phone or on a device you can get through stripe.com. It’s incredible that you can have your own cash register right on you and most people use the little dongle that fits into the bottom of a phone, or the fancier device that can be propped up on the table and even takes contactless cards.
#2 – Cash on hand in small bills.
It’s very important to take cash in small bills and a little bit of change too. When you’re pricing your items, a pro tip is to keep the math really simple. This will make cash transactions and calculations a lot more seamless. You’ll be surprised at the number of people who prefer to pay with cash.
#3 – An extension cord and chargers for your devices.
You usually don’t know where your table will be or how far it may be from the nearest plug. You don’t want your devices to run out of juice. Especially if you’re using them to collect payments or referring customers to your online shop and collecting emails. Bring extension cords!
Pro Tip – An item with a personal touch.
As I mentioned last week, make sure you have an item from your creative studio that resonates with you as an artist. It could be fresh flowers, a jug that contains your paint brushes or your colored pencils. Or anything you like to use in your creative process. You’re a real person! Not a “seller”. These personal touches spark conversations and help you connect with potential buyers. They are real people too!

MEET ANNE
Hi…I’m Anne!
My creative inspiration comes from a lifetime of observation. I grew up in Paris on the Place St. Sulpice and walked to school through the Luxembourg gardens. And that was only the beginning… Learn more by watching the video on my About page.
